EPC Project Details
K‐Line crews built 9.5km of 144kV transmission line near Delia, Alberta for the Hand Hills Wind Project. Construction was safely completed during the 2022 summer and fall season.
EPC Project Highlights
- The project consisted of Wood Pole with foundation type screw and bucket piles and direct embedment.
- Crews worked closely with Maskwa Environmental Consultants throughout various wetlands, native grasslands, landowner pastures, crown land, and bird migration corridors.
- Wood Poles installed between ATCO Electric point of interconnect (POI) to Highland Substation.
- Single 3-Phase 477 kcmil Hawk ACSR c/w OPGW 24 fibre optic cable.
- Installation of partial line tap facilities including one 144kV manual operated switch and support Structure.
- Project was completed on schedule and within budget.
