EPC Project Details
K‐Line crews-built T-tap Structure on existing Altalink 138kV transmission line near Edson, Alberta. Construction was safely completed during the 2022 winter season.
EPC Project Highlights
- The project consisted of Steel Mono Pole concrete caisson and Wood Pole bucket pile foundation.
- Crews worked closely with Altalink throughout various project deliverables including Safety and Environmental.
- New steel Structure installed on existing 745L to facilitate connection to 345S New Hornbeck Substation (between Structure 77 and 78).
- Double 3-Phase 477 kcmil Hawk ACSR c/w OPGW 24 fibre optic cable.
- Salvage of existing plant.
- Project was completed ahead of schedule and within budget.
