On December 6th, 2017 Kathy Lerette, Senior Vice President Business Transformation at Alectra and Vice-Chair of the Electricity Human Resources Canada Board of Directors, visited K-Line for the signing of the Leadership Accord on Gender Diversity. K-Line is proud to be the first high voltage electrical contracting firm in Canada to sign the Leadership Accord on Gender Diversity for the Electricity Industry initiated by Electricity Human Resources Canada (EHRC).
This Accord was developed by EHRC and its Connected Women steering committee, comprised of industry stakeholders from across Canada who collaboratively developed both the Accord and a national mentorship program for women in the sector. The Accord is a public commitment by employers, educators, unions and governments to promote the values of diversity and inclusion within their organizations. K-Line is already proving its commitment to creating a gender inclusive workplace, and has seen an increase in the number of women taking on leadership roles across the organization. “Our focus on establishing The K-Line Group as an industry leader with exceptional customer service, and a safety record second to none, is made possible by hiring the very best employees,” said K-Line’s President Allan Kellett. “Today we affirmed our commitment to gender diversity by signing this accord and ensuring we deliver our very best results for customers.”
