Field Supervisor – Distribution

We currently have an opportunity available to be based out of Saskatchewan for the new position of Area Supervisor of Distribution.


  • Provide day to day leadership to field, foreman and operations crews
  • Identify required resources needed for day-to-day operational activities and larger scale projects/jobs
  • Communicate regularly with direct reports to ensure that work is completed in accordance with set priorities and strategic goals and objectives
  • Participate in strategic planning activities and tactical implementation
  • Provide accurate technical advice throughout job/ project delivery, and review phases of projects
  • Proactively procure the appropriate tools and equipment required for day-to-day activities or specific jobs
  • Ensure the appropriate employees with the required technical knowledge are assigned to specific job or projects
  • Ensure Tool Inventories are submitted and completed at regular intervals
  • Attend quarterly meetings and report progress of crews
  • Perform technical inspections on electrical equipment and maintain assigned equipment in safe and operable condition
  • Ensure that all Injuries, Incidents and Near Misses are reported regardless of severity

Experience & Education

  • PLT Journeyman Certificate and an Inter-Provincial Red Seal Certification is required
  • Minimum five (5) years managing a crew or similar managerial experience
  • Valid Class 3A Driver’s License

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing needs and requirements
  • Highly organized with the ability to multitask and meet tight deadlines, and effectively balance field and office work loads
  • Ability to represent oneself, the department, and the company in a professional manner in all dealings
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to use discretion and independent judgement when dealing with issues and problems
  • In depth knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation
  • May require some additional work hours and/or non-standard hours. Frequent field visits are required
